Swimming with the fishes and allowing you connection with the world since 1850… 98% of the worlds data travels throughout the ocean via underwater sea cables, its something that is both everywhere and no where at the same time. The internet isn’t invisible its hundreds of thousands of buildings and routers and fibre optic cables, the world is all connected by sea cables from one country to another…

These cables all connect to a building at some point and these places are called ‘chokepoints’ which have a huge amount of the worlds internet traffic… This area of the functionality off the internet is understood by few but also so important and big at the same time… A beach can be a scene of mass surveillance due to all the cables and wires, but you would never know as you cant see them as they all lie on the ocean floor, innocuous, almost impossible to find.
